SAVE THE DATE FOR ALC FORUM 2017!

7-9 March 2017

ALC Forum is the largest and most influential gathering of leaders and key policy makers in the Australian logistics industry, debating and discussing the critical issues impacting the efficiency and safety of Australia’s supply chains.

After a hugely successful event in Sydney earlier this year, ALC is pleased to announce that ALC Forum will return to the impressive Melbourne Cricket Ground next year, taking place on 7-9 March 2017.

ALC Forum 2017 will focus on the issues identified in ALC’s election priorities document, Getting the Supply Chain Right.

Headlining the 29 recommendations in the document is the development of a National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy; an initiative that was embraced by Infrastructure Australia in its Australian Infrastructure Plan, released in February 2016.

The need for a National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy was highlighted in ALC’s video, Now is the Time to Get the Supply Chain Right, launched at Parliament House last month, with the Hon Darren Chester MP, Minister for Infrastructure & Transport, in attendance (pictured).   The video features eight executives from Australia’s top logistics organisations discussing the economic and social benefits of safe and efficient supply chains.

ALC Forum 2017
will therefore identify the issues that need to be addressed in the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy, including:

  • Industry structure
  • Planning
  • Freight on rail
  • Road pricing reform
  • Road safety
  • Technology as a driver of efficiency and safety.
