The Australian Logistics Council Master Code Auditing Service (AMCAS) is a subscriber-based service that the Australian Logistics Council (ALC) offers to its members and their supply chain partners. AMCAS is designed to assess compliance against the key elements of a safety management system that may include broader Work Health and Safety (WHS) risks as well as the core areas associated with transport activities, as defined by the HVNL.
The following codes have been superseded by the Master Code:· National Logistics Safety Code (NLSC)· Retail Logistics Safety Code (RLSC)· CSG Logistics Safety Code (CSGLSC)· Australian Steel Industry Logistics Safety Code (ASILSC)
AMCAS helps parties in the chain of responsibility audit their compliance with the Master Code for heavy vehicle safety. It is not limited to transport operators. AMCAS is designed to assist others in the supply chain – including retailers, producers, suppliers, distribution centres and logistics businesses – monitor and verify the safety of their transport activities.
